THE CENTRE OF REHABILITATION AND DISABILITY INTELLECTUAL DISORDERS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF MONTRÉAL... is a network of health and social services providing specialized adaptation and rehabilitation to more than 4,500 people who have an intellectual disability (DI) or (ASD) autism spectrum disorder. The CRDITED de Montréal also provides assistance to the family and loved ones and support to partners. In addition, it manages almost 1900 spaces into contractual such as intermediate resources (RI) accommodation resources or resources of family type (RTF) on the island of Montreal.

Mission

The law on health services and social services (Art. 84 R.S.Q., chapter S - 4.2) sets the entrusted mission to rehabilitation in the following way: "offer adaptation, rehabilitation and social integration services to individuals who, because of their intellectual disability (...), require such services, as well as services and accompanying entourage of these people support.

"The establishment which receives on reference of persons with intellectual disabilities (...), ensures that their needs are assessed and that the required services are available to them inside its facilities or in their environment, at school, at work or at home, if necessary, to ensure that they are directed as soon as possible to the centres, bodies or persons most likely to help them.

Added to this mission is mandated to provide adjustment services, rehabilitation and social integration for people with a spectrum disorder of autism (ASD), as stipulated in the document of the Ministry of health and Social Services entitled "to make the right choices, a promising gesture for the future.

The Montreal CRDITED is an innovative organization that strives for excellence. It contributes significantly, with its partners, to the social participation of people with an intellectual disability or a pervasive developmental disorder.

THE REHABILITATION PROGRAM'S TEAM, STRUCTURED IN DAILY'S ACTIVITIES / INVASIVE ADULT DEVELOPMENT DISORDERS IS A VERY SMALL TEAM WITH A PARTICULAR MISSION. ADOPRO, a program of development of social skills for adolescents aged 12 to 17 with an intellectual disability, Montreal, Quebec
The ADOPRO program specifically targets teenagers with deficits in terms of social skills that hinder their participation in the different environments they frequent. It is based on the basic idea that the development and adoption of social behaviour adapted during adolescence will encourage social participation and the personnal development of these young people in various spheres of their lives
