The inclusion is a permanent challenge nowadays. Accordingly, work in relation to the inclusion broadly means offering multiple and always natural conditions for the growth and learning of each student/a. it is necessary to formulate policies of inclusion and political-pedagogical projects covering diversity and include children, youth and adults of our Municipal Education, considering the differences of subject and the specifics of their cultures and learning abilities ensuring the equality of opportunities. This is the challenge that we have assumed in Municipal de Ensino de Porto Alegre.

Activities

Composition of the Advisory Team

The advice is composed of professionals (teachers and psychologists) organized by reference to the different levels of education and support services offered for each level:

Advice of Psychology. The job offer of advice of Psychology pervades all levels of education, along with the target audience of special education, with an action-oriented institutional analysis in order to identify and reflect on aspects imposed educational relations, seeking to enhance the exercise of difference. In composition with the team of teachers, plans and executes actions that aim at the implementation of the pedagogical processes.

Inclusion support service

Early education (EP) and Pedagogy (PI): Service to support inclusion in early childhood education for children from 0 to 6 years with NEEs. In addition to the specialized educational services to the student, are held at schools and day care centers consultants partner community, seeking the development of the process of school inclusion. The professionals working in EP and PI have specific training in special education (early education, pedagogy).

Integration and resource rooms (CRS): the inclusion support service in elementary school for students enrolled in regular network NEEs. It is characterized by an offer that promotes educational access, participation and learning in regular education, fostering the development of didactic and pedagogical resources to eliminate barriers in the process of teaching and learning. In addition to the specialized educational services to the student, the school offices are held, seeking the development of the process of school inclusion. The professionals working in SIR have specific training in special education (mental impairment, visual impairment, high skills/giftedness).

 

Educational work programme (PTE): Office of special education which prepares students with disabilities and/or global development disorders, nearing completion of elementary school to the labour market, offering new possibilities for learning beyond the school space. This program is offered to students of 4 special schools, CMET Paulo Freire and regular education students served in the room and integration/Resources PTE. About 150 students are in preparation or already working in Offices and departments of the Municipality, the Board of Aldermen and in private enterprise. The program counts with important partnerships, such as SENAI, SENAC, labor Regional Superintendence, proactive Inclusion Committee and Local support group, in the provision of training courses and the forwarding to the labour market.

 

Specialized Educational services for students with hearing disabilities and deaf: Service to support inclusion in early childhood education and elementary education for students enrolled in RME. In addition to the specialized educational services to the student, the school offices are held, seeking the development of the process of school inclusion. This service is performed by professional Bilingual EMEEF of Deaf Solomon Watnick.

 

Inclusion Advisory at elementary schools that have students with global development disorders. This service is performed by professional EMEEF Lucena Borges.

 

Internship project in support of Inclusion

Internship project in support of Inclusion

The work is developed in common schools of early childhood education and elementary school, in classes that have students with NEEs. The proposal provides for a performance in partnership with the teacher and/or class monitor who owns student with NEEs, seeking to promote the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs.

 

Goals

· Contribute to the inclusion of student with Secial Needs in the school community;

· Provide the trainee establish relationships between theoretical knowledge and practice.

Consultancy for teachers of adult and youth education: work is developed in city schools of education who work with EJA mode.

Continuing training in inclusive education

Production of material to support the continuing education of teachers:

· Book: special education in ADULT and YOUTH EDUCATION: contemplating the diversity. Posted in 2007.

· Book: inclusive education: perspectives and prospects. In press.

Blind Union of Rio Grande do Sul (UCERGS): through an agreement with the SMED, develops programs of orientation, mobility and autonomous life and social activities. The work of Early Visual Education directed to children from 0 to 6 years with visual impairment is also held in this space. And right now, in the process of implementation, support for the production of didactic-pedagogic material and informative of the PMPA for persons with visual impairments (Braille production and extended characters).
